By now most of America has seen Kanye West’s rude interruption of poor Taylor Swift’s first ever Video Music Award acceptance speech for her hit “You Belong to Me”. The poor girl was obviously really excited to accept her MTV Video Music Award for the Best Female Video of 2009 when Kanye West in his infinite lack of wisdom an couth jumped on stage and angrily stated “I'm happy for you and I'ma let you speak but I want to say that Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!!" His outburst was met with boos from the crowd nut by then the damage was done, the music started and a bewildered Taylor Swift was accompanied off stage without getting a chance to finish her speech! To top it off she had to perform a few minutes later.

The question I have is why Kanye? Why you FCKIN’ LOSER? Were you mad because a sweet little white girl won the award? Did you just want some more attention? You know you sing along to “You Belong to Me” in the shower! Why did you find it necessary to steal a moment from Taylor Swift that she will never get back? At least Beyonce Knowles handled the VMA incident with grace and dignity. When Beyonce was given her award for best Video of the year for “Single Ladies, Put a Ring on It” she told the MTV VMA audience about how she felt when she won her first VMA at 17 and called Taylor Swift onstage to “have her moment.”

Taylor Swift graciously accepted the opportunity and said “Maybe we can try this again. I would really like to thank Roman White, who directed the video and Lucas Till for being in it. “I would like to thank all the fans on Twitter and MySpace and everyone that came out to my shows this summer. And I would like to thank my little brother’s high school for letting us shoot there.”

Kanye apparently apologized to Taylor Swift. I saw him on Jay Leno and in unsual Kanye West form he managed to turn the whole incident around to be about him! When Jay Leno asked how Kanye’s mother, Donda West who recently passed away would feel about the MTV VMA incident he said that he has had a lot of pain in his life and used that as an excuse for his actions. Come on Kanye, next time you want a little more attention don’t be a FCKIN’ LOSER!
